Important Financial Information

Iberia Medical Center (The Hospital) is a provider in network with many PPO's. The Children's Center clinic is not. Your PPO may indicate that Iberia Medical Center is a participating provider, but that does not mean our clinic services are also covered. The Children's Center is considered a completely separate provider from the hospital.

Your insurance benefits and knowing who is in your network is your responsibility. If you choose to come to our clinic for services, and we are not a provider in your insurance network, you will be responsible for what your insurance company indicates is your responsibility. We tell all parents who present to our clinic and request PPO rates that the minimum payment due at time of service is the amount that your insurance card states. (Example: a co-pay, 20%, etc.) We will then file your claim with your insurance company with no guarantee that the co-pay is all you will owe. After your insurance company has paid their portion, we will make any indicated adjustments and bill you the remainder that your insurance company has listed as your responsibility.

It is your responsibility to know who is in your network and what the monetary penalties are for going out of the network to obtain services. If you choose to utilize our services then you are accepting the financial responsibility that goes along with the service. You must pay your co-pay, your deductible or your percent at the time of service. This is not a free clinic!
